What is KP Astrology?
Krishnamurti Paddhati, developed by K.S. Krishnamurti in the 1960s, is an Indian adaptation that adopts the Placidus house system and Krishnamurti's own ayanamsa, and then introduces its defining innovation: the sub-lord. Each of the twenty-seven nakshatras is divided into nine uneven sub-divisions based on the Vimshottari Dasha proportions, and each sub is ruled by a planet whose tendencies override surface-level sign and house placements.
This K.S. Krishnamurti method produces a much finer grid than traditional systems. A house cusp sub-lord tells you whether a house will 'deliver' the matters it rules; a question's significators are filtered through their sub-lords to weigh yes or no; and timing is read via the Dasha-Bhukti-Antara sub-lord chain plus transits. The result is an astrology that makes falsifiable claims, and usually gets them right.
In Hindi, we often call this स्पष्ट उत्तर (spasht uttar, a clear answer).
How KP Astrology Works
For a life-long reading, Saurabh prepares your natal KP chart and reads significators for the houses governing your question. For a Horary (Prashna) KP chart, a random number between 1 and 249 is provided by the querent, and the chart is cast from that number's KP sub-lord, extraordinarily useful when birth time is unknown.
The sub-lord of the relevant cusp plus the significators decide yes or no. Timing is then derived from the ruling planets at the moment of question and the running Dasha-Bhukti-Antara chain.
